It’s simple – you just sign up to a survey website, and then you start receiving various surveys that are often picked according to your interests and background. This is to ensure that you can give the most appropriate kind of feedback, and subsequently be of real use to the website, instead of just making money off of them.

For most websites, you’ll have to pay a nominal fee for registration, but that’s understandable – the website itself has to make some money, right? There are also free ones, but you can probably guess that there’s a compromise involved – paid websites generally give you access to a lot more surveys that pay better, and you also come from a reputed background, and not from a random free website.

How much can I earn?

This is the main question that’s probably flying around your head right now. How much you can earn from paid surveys varies from website to website. Don’t expect to make a living out of it though – it would be silly to think that way. A much more reasonable expectation is to make some extra cash to get by with. A few dozen bucks a week is still something, and it’ll give you some freedom in your life at least, especially considering the little amount of time you’re investing in the surveys themselves.

You need to shape your resume to make it look appealing to the website – find out what the main types of surveys are that they offer, and try to display interest in those subjects. This way you’ll make yourself look like a person who’s able to give valuable feedback.
